Pebble Beach Systems has announced the launch of Stingray, a new channel in a box solution for playout or ingest applications.
Developed for the fast deployment of less complex channels at lower cost, Stingray is suitable for any system from one to over 50 channels where there is no need for automatic control of third party devices.
Shipping by the end of 2012 in StingrayIN (for Ingest) and StingrayTX (for playout) configurations, the 64-bit system is also fully Unicode compliant, providing full language localisation for the UI. Stingray’s full client server architecture also enables multi-channel control from each operator position, with visibility of multiple timelines for efficient channel management. In addition Stingray offers Flash Graphics creation and playback, and subtitling insertion. – Michael Burns
