Samsung has confirmed that Amazon Prime Video will stream certain Premier League matches in 4K via its smart TV platform.
The company added that the smart TV can upscale the stream to 8K quality.
“Consumers in the UK can enjoy select games on our smart TV platform via Amazon Prime Video,” a Samsung spokesperson said. “Amazon will deliver this in 4K, but our Quantum Processor will upscale this to pristine 8K quality.”
Amazon Prime Video has the rights to Premier League matches on the 26th and 27th December, as well as the first midweek round of matches in the same month.
