The launch marks a major milestone as HBO Max completes its European rollout

Warner Bros Discovery has announced HBO Max will launch in the UK and Ireland on 26th March.

Already available in more than 110 territories around the world, the streaming service will provide users across the two countries with access to its range of movies, real-life stories and exclusive content from HBO, Warner Bros Pictures, Warner Bros. Television, DC Studios and Max Originals in one place.

Additionally, the service will become the new home for TNT Sports, said the company, with sports content moving from discovery+.

Plans will be available, providing access to in-app features enabling viewers to personalise their content.

Commenting on the announcement, JB Perrette, CEO and president of global streaming and games at Warner Bros Discovery, said: “After decades of delighting audiences in the UK and Ireland with our remarkable stories and brands, it’s a huge thrill to finally bring it all together on HBO Max, and also offer it directly to all consumers.”

Andrew Georgiou, president and MD for Warner Bros Discovery UK & Ireland and Warner Bros Discovery Sports Europe, added: “Launching HBO Max in the UK and Ireland marks a significant moment for viewers here. HBO Max will offer them their most loved series and movies from HBO, Warner Bros. and DC Studios, alongside premium sports from TNT Sports in the UK, within an outstanding single destination for this great content and strong value proposition.”

A range of flexible entry points will be available from launch across four monthly plans, with TNT Sports also offered as a standalone plan in the UK. The service will be accessible via all major devices, including TVs, set-top boxes, streaming devices, mobiles, tablets, game consoles and other platforms.
