Timeline Television has renewed a five-year lease at its MediaCityUK base.

The post production, outside broadcast and studio-based service provider has also expanded its cloud-based editing solutions to post production clients.

In partnership with Avid and Adobe, Timeline has developed the solutions to enable clients to ingest media and edit using on-the-fly proxies. Timeline Access, the in-house asset management web portal, is designed to allow producers to view and approve rushes or on-going edits from their phones, tablets or laptops.

The Timeline North facility possesses six Avid Media Composer/Adobe Premiere/FCP Offline suites, two Avid Online suites, a DaVinci Grading Theatre, two Pro Tools Audio dub suites, a Tracklay suite, a voiceover booth and a fully equipped MCR with content agent for media transcodes and AS11 delivery files.

Paul Tovee, newly-appointed head of Timeline North, said, “We have invested heavily in our facilities and have the experience to deliver creative post production for a variety of genres including drama, children’s programming and documentaries.

“Timeline Television has the full breadth of expertise and technical infrastructure to capture, create, edit and deliver programmes. We believe that the nature of post production is changing and with Timeline Television’s unique spread of knowledge across a huge range of workflows and technologies, are fully capable, delivering to clients at the highest level of virtually any project, from the supremely creative to the utmost technical.”

Mark Robinson, head of asset management at MediaCityUK, added, “Timeline Television North is an integral part of the diverse service offering within MediaCityUK’s business community, and we are delighted to receive its commitment of a further five years with us.”
