Sony Pictures Television Networks is to launch three channels on Virgin Media’s TV service.
Pop, MovieMix and Movies4Men will join the Virgin Media line-up as part of a new long-term carriage deal.
Kids brand Pop, aimed at kids aged four to nine, includes shows such as Power Rangers, Captain Flinn & The Pirate Dinosaurs and LEGO Friends.
MovieMix provides a range of contemporary movies including The Fly, I Spy, Die Hard, Moon and The Full Monty while Movies4Men delivers war, western and action movies, such as Support Your Local Sheriff and Valdez is Coming.
Pete Chapman, director, subscription services at Virgin TV said, “We are building on our leadership in programming by giving our customers three great new Sony channels, offering movie blockbuster classics and fun cartoons for kids.
“We are also excited to be releasing new catch-up on demand content for kids from Pop and Tiny Pop and are excited about working with Sony on some new concepts.”
The trio join existing Sony channels True Movies 1, Tiny Pop, True Entertainment and Sony Channel on the Virgin TV service.
