Thomson Broadcast sells GatesAir to private equity firm

The deal will enable GatesAir to "accelerate innovation and deliver the breakthrough technologies that will define the future of over-the-air content delivery," said CEO Barbara Spicek

GatesAir has been acquired by Saothair Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused exclusively on investing in middle-market manufacturing and industrial companies.

Financial details of the acquisition have not been announced.

Barbara Spicek will continue to serve as President and chief executive officer of GatesAir following the acquisition.

Speaking about the deal, she said: “Saothair’s partnership empowers us to accelerate innovation, bolster customer support, expand our market leadership, and deliver the breakthrough technologies that will define the future of over-the-air content delivery.”
