Sony Pictures Television is set to launch True Crime as a free-to-air in channel in the UK on 22 March.

True Crime, which will be available via Freeview, will become the platform’s only dedicated crime channel, and will become the latest addition to the True channel portfolio.

It will host murder mysteries, real life crime stories and criminal action content, including Manhunters, Deadly Women, The Devil You Know and Crime 360.

Kate Marsh, executive vice president for western Europe international networks at Sony, said, “True Crime will be a dedicated crime channel, where viewers who are fascinated by true life stories will be able to have everything in one place.

“The channel further builds on the success of our Freeview channel portfolio and marks our commitment to the UK television market.”

Sony’s worldwide networks portfolio includes 150 channel feeds available in 178 countries, reaching more than 1.3 billion households worldwide.
