Sky is to broadcast 124 games in Dolby Atmos throughout the 2017/18 season.
The new offering will kick off tonight as Arsenal play host to Leicester in the season’s curtain-raiser.
Dolby Atmos – available to customers with a Sky Q 2TB box, Sky Q Multiscreen subscription and compatible Dolby Atmos speakers – immerses the viewer in the action with audio that moves around the room in three-dimensional space.
Premier League coverage will also gain Sky’s ‘Watch from Start’ feature. If users tune into a match after the start, they can watch it from the beginning by just hitting the red button. They can also jump to key moments, which are highlighted in the progress bar at the bottom of the screen.
