Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision prepare for cinematic milestone

This summer’s release of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will mark the 500th theatrical film confirmed in both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Other films due to be released with the technology in 2023 include, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and Barbie.

According to the company, there are 280 Dolby Atmos mixing facilities worldwide, with more than 2,760 feature films that have been mixed and mastered in Dolby Atmos to date.
