Talk us through an average day in your role
As cliché as it sounds, every day is different — and that’s one of the best things about working in the media and entertainment industry. My days are filled with a variety of tasks and projects. One moment, I might be onsite with a strategic client, helping to optimise workflows with the Signiant Platform. The next, I could be supporting our sales team by demonstrating how Signiant solves complex problems within today’s media supply chain. I thrive on collaborating with our customers and partners to deliver impactful solutions across a diverse range of projects.

How did you get started in the media industry?
I studied media technology at Solent University, which introduced me to incredible people and helped me build lifelong connections. Through one of those connections, I landed an internship at a video syndication start-up in London. Working at a start-up was an excellent launchpad for my career — it allowed me to wear many hats, from leading customer support to helping open the company’s first international office in New York.
What training did you have before entering the industry?
Earning a media-focused degree provided me with valuable insights into industry expectations. It also gave me hands-on experience, such as broadcasting the Glastonbury music festival with the BBC. Opportunities like these were truly invaluable in preparing me for the real-world challenges of the media sector.
Why do you enjoy working in the industry?
My role allows me to interact with an incredibly diverse and dynamic ecosystem. Working with strategic clients on a global scale is eye-opening and constantly challenges me to grow and improve. It’s an environment that keeps me engaged and motivated every day.
What piece of advice would you offer someone looking to explore a role similar to yours?
A mentor from my first job gave me a piece of advice that has stuck with me: “Be incurably curious.” Never hesitate to ask questions — it not only helps you better understand a situation but also fosters deeper conversations and insights with the people around you.
