Camera lens company Cooke Optics has announced the appointment of David Hancock as its new chief executive officer.
Hancock succeeds Tim Pugh, who has decided to retire. He joins the company from premium e-bike component manufacturer Enviolo, where he most recently served as a member of the company’s board, having previously led the company as CEO including through its growth and sale to a new private equity investor.

Combined with the passion of the team, the chance to grow Cooke’s products and services will be amazing for all of us at Cooke.”
Outgoing CEO Tim Pugh added: “When I joined Cooke over four years ago, I found myself instantly feeling at home. Everyone in the industry, our partners and customers, and the huge affection in the market for the Cooke brand and products, have all played a central role in building that sentiment. It has been both an honour and a pleasure to be the company’s CEO.”
