Netgear boosts IP development with expanded training platform

Featuring training content from partners across the industry, the Netgear Academy Education Network aims to drive integration across the media and entertainment space

Netgear Academy has launched an IP training platform.

Aiming to tackle what the company identified as a key industry issue of knowledge fragmentation across various professional fields, the Netgear Academy Education Network brings together training content from throughout the media and entertainment industry, expanding Netgear’s training platform into a comprehensive source for AV-over-IP-based education.

Partners from launch include AVB Academy, Crestron, Dante by Audinate, Lightware, SDVoE Alliance, and Sennheiser, with more expected to join the network.

Featuring interactive quizzes, technical reference materials and video demonstrations of solutions and best practices, all partners’ training content remains free for learners, helping to remove barriers to professional growth.

Marking a shift from traditional methods, the Academy aims to build a collaborative ecosystem enabling knowledge to be shared and accelerating IP adoption across the broadcast and AV industries. More than 1,000 professionals are joining each month, gaining access to expert training from multiple industry leaders, said the company.

Gus Marcondes, global training manager at Netgear Enterprise commented, “The IP transformation of broadcast and Pro AV calls for a new approach to education. We’re building a platform where shared knowledge boosts everyone’s success. When IT professionals, commercial AV integrators, and broadcast engineers understand how IP infrastructure supports modern AV solutions, the whole industry benefits.”

“This collaborative approach reflects how IP-based AV actually functions,” added Richard Jonker, VP of marketing and business development at Netgear AV. “Success in networked AV environments depends less on proprietary secrets and more on understanding how interconnected systems collaborate. Educated customers become better customers, and shared knowledge leads to stronger solutions.”

The Netgear Academy Education Network will continue to grow partner content, allowing the expansion of integration across live and broadcast production, IT and commercial AV workspaces.
