Netflix to open office in Rome

Due to open within the year

Netflix has announced plans to open a new office in Rome by 2021.

The new location will employ up to 30 people currently working at the company’s office in the Netherlands. They will mostly work in marketing, public relations and production.

The venue for the new office has not been announced.

“Since the start of the service in Italy in 2015, we have been greeted with enthusiasm by our many Italian subscribers and we have had the good luck to work with a variety of creators, from the best known to the emerging talent,” Netflix’s VP of international originals Kelly Luegenbiehl told local newspaper Il Messaggero.

“Opening an office in Rome is the logical next step in our long-term commitment in Italy, and will allow us to strengthen our multiple creative partnerships and to work on a growing offer of Made in Italy films and series and that will be appreciated by the public all over the world.”
