Netflix is reportedly planning to move into a new headquarters in London, tripling its office space in the city.
According to Bloomberg, the streamer is preparing to take over the lease on an 87,000 square-foot building on Berners Street from current occupants Capita.
Netflix currently rents about 30,000 square feet of space in two nearby buildings, one of which will be retained, said Bloomberg quoting un-named sources. The new office will give the company a total of about 100,000 square feet of office space in London.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to the UK, we are excited to expand our operations in London,” a Netflix spokesperson said. “It will ensure that we can better serve our members and the local creative community.”
While it is currently increasing its office space in London, Netflix has also been busy ensuring it has plenty of studio space in and around the capital. Last year, the streamer created a new production hub at Shepperton Studios, and also rented production space in Uxbridge.
