Netflix has begun a partnership with Hong Kong’s largest pay-TV and OTT provider.

now TV, owned by PCCW, will now be able to deliver Netflix to its customers through now TV’s set-top boxes, as well as it’s new 4K all-in-one appliance, now one.

The service will commence in the second quarter of 2016, making now TV the first broadcaster in Hong Kong to provide a large-screen experience for Netflix via set-top boxes.

Bill Holmes, global head of business development at Netflix, said, “Partnering with now TV is going to be an important component of Netflix growth in Hong Kong.

“We are delighted that Hong Kongers’ love for the wide variety of content on Netflix can now be experienced through now TV’s set-top boxes backed up by HKT’s best-in-class internet provision and content distribution network.”

Netflix will offer three service plans in Hong Kong, with monthly fees of HK$63 for one screen in standard definition, HK$78 for two screens simultaneously in high definition, and HK$93 for four screens simultaneously in HD and Ultra HD 4K.
