dock10 has agreed a deal to purchase Edit19.

The company will acquire 100 per cent of the shares of the Manchester-based post production house.

The deal, which is expected to be finalised in April, is intended to bring VFX and motion graphics specialisms to dock10, increasing its presence in the advertising and corporate markets.

Edit19, led by Chris Baker and Ben McFarlane, has worked for brands such as Vodafone, Samsung, Mercedes, the BBC and ITV.

The full range of services offered by Edit19 includes offline and online editing, colour grading, GFX, VFX, compositing, audio, 3D, modelling and animation.
