Telestream updates Qualify QC solution with AI-driven automatic language detection

Updated features include AI-driven automated language recognition which aims to meet growing demand for global content localisation

Telestream has announced an update of its Qualify QC solution.

The latest version of the cloud-native quality control (QC) tool harnesses AI technology to power a number of upgrades, including an automated language detection feature that identifies spoken languages in media content.

Aiming to streamline workflows for broadcasters and streamers, the feature eliminates the need for time-consuming manual QC processes, enabling organisations to rapidly scale global operations and meet demand for content localisation, said the company.

Ravi McArthur, technical product manager at Telestream, commented, “Qualify redefines accuracy in language detection by expertly handling accents, regional dialects, and even challenging noisy audio environments. Additionally, the Qualify upgrade provides:

  • Integration with platforms such as Vantage and media asset management systems including Iconik. JSON reporting and customisable scripting capabilities also empower users to efficiently automate metadata tagging and transcoding.
  • Comprehensive QC including AI-enabled profanity detection to ensure compliance across evolving regulations and standards.
  • Dolby Atmos loudness compliance.
