RBC – the first and only 24-hour business news television channel in Russia – has invested in an Octopus6 newsroom computer system, which has been integrated with Harris playout automation, reports David Davies.

Owned and operated by RBC Information Systems, RBC was launched in September 2003 in partnership with the CNBC and CNN television channels. It is the most watched and popular business channel in Russia.

Petr Stokuc, managing director of Octopus Newsroom, commented: “RBC is our first client in Russia, which is currently one of our developing markets. This project is a great result for our long-term partnership with Studio Service, one of our key dealers in Russia. We hope that, after this successful co-operation, we can look forward to more to come.”
