London’s ES Broadcast adds 10 LDX cameras

London-based ES Broadcast has added 10 Grass Valley LDX WorldCam cameras to its equipment hire inventory, making it the first rental house to offer the new LDX Series cameras.

London-based ES Broadcast has added 10 Grass Valley LDX WorldCam cameras to its equipment hire inventory, making it the first rental house to offer the new LDX Series cameras. The 10 LDX WorldCam camera systems are based on advanced Xensium-FT CMOS imagers and come with the 3G Transmission Twin base station, which supports 3G/1080p, Triax, and Dark Fibre.

To offer maximum flexibility in the camera transmission chain, the LDK 4426 3G Triax Camera to Fibre Converters are also included.

“With an ever-changing marketplace, it’s essential that we keep in stock the equipment that our customers like and continue to hire regularly,” said Edward Saunders, Managing Director of ES Broadcast. “While the LDX Series is relatively new, we have seen European companies purchasing them, as well as UK-based OB companies considering them. We expect having the LDX Series available for hire will broaden our customer base going forward.”

ES Broadcast is now equipped to supply a complete production solution based on LDX Series cameras for both hire and sales.

“As a relatively new company, it’s refreshing to see that ES Broadcast is breaking new ground as a rental company, and is offering the latest camera technology in the marketplace to its customers,” said Tim Thorsteinson, President and CEO at Grass Valley. “We look forward to working closely with ES Broadcast to make sure that the LDX Series of cameras is benefitting the equipment hire market.”
