Red Bee, Spring Media announce women’s football streaming service

Wnited due to launch in 2020

Red Bee has partnered with Swedish sports rights agency Spring Media to launch Wnited, “the world’s first global OTT service dedicated to women’s football.”

The platform will aggregate multi-camera content from top-tier leagues in Europe, Asia and the Americas on both free and subscription-based consumption models.

Wnited is set to house over 300 live matches plus additional VoD content in 2020, via Red Bee’s ultra-low latency managed OTT platform.

Tobias Osmund, Spring Media CEO, said: “Women’s football has reached a turning point when it comes to both viewership and media interest and we believe we’re just at the beginning of a steep growth curve.
