Netflix has released a list of recommended smart TVs that provide the best performance and ease of use for its platform.
The company’s three recommended TVs for 2019 are:
- Samsung Q60R/Q70R/Q80R/Q90R/Q900R series, RU8000, The Serif and The Frame devices
- Sony BRAVIA X85G(XG85)/X90G(XG90) series and A9G(AG9) series
- Panasonic VIERA GX700/GX800/GX900 series
A “Netflix Recommended TV” must meet at least five of seven criteria, including quick-launch of the Netflix app, high-resolution interface, and an instant-on feature that remembers where you were up to when you restart.
The platform also introduced a new feature this year called “Always Fresh” that ensures Netflix is awake even when the TV is sleeping, meaning it will periodically refresh Netflix in the background.
