Netflix has revealed operating results for its European business for the first time.
In a filing with the SEC, the company revealed that in the European region, which also includes the Middle East and Africa, subscription revenue increased 105 per cent over the last two years to $1.43 million for the third quarter of 2019.
Subscribers in EMEA stood at 47.4 million as of the end of Q3, up 105 per cent versus two years prior.
Those figures make EMEA Netflix’s second biggest market outside of the United States and Canada.
The streamer saw its biggest growth in Asia Pacific where revenue was up 153 per cent and membership grew 148 per cent in the period.
