Facebook says its TV platform Facebook Watch is now viewed by 400 million people every month.
The social media site says globally 75 million people a month watch one minute of content on the site, and on average, these 75 million daily visitors spend more than 20 minutes on Watch.
“We’re seeing that people are regularly coming back to catch up on the videos they care about and watching for longer periods of time,” said Fidji Simo, Facebook’s head of video, in a blog post.
Since Facebook Watch launched globally at the end of August, Simo said there have been more than 12 million ‘Watch Parties’ where friends watch content together.
Simo said Facebook plans to unify the video experience – which is spread out across Watch, the News Feed, Search and Pages. She said the social network is looking to make the experience “feel immersive,” no matter where users encounter it.
