Deltatre is providing a range of digital products and editorial services to Channel 4’s (C4) Paralympic broadcasts, as well as multiplatform coverage. C4, with support from deltatre caught the moment during the Winter Paralympic Games that British skier Kelly Gallagher won the nation’s first-ever gold medal.
Deltatre has designed and built C4’s Sochi 2014 website, and is supplying the broadcaster with a range of services to complement its biggest-ever TV commitment to Winter Paralympics. Live sport services in use include realtime results data delivery, live video streaming and highlight clip production, and products including the Diva video player and LiveBlogging tool, are also being deployed by C4, to provide audiences with an additional 100 hours of live digital sporting coverage.
James Rutherford, commissioning editor for Channel 4, said, “I’m excited to reunite the core team that was assembled two years ago for London 2012 allowing us to offer UK audiences first-class digital coverage from Sochi.”
Focusing on digital platforms, deltatre’s team of commentators, journalists, live bloggers, producers and editors are providing online audiences with competition analysis and behind the scenes stories, photos and videos. The company’s digital editorial team is also contributing with onscreen social media integration of trending Twitter topics and comments by athletes, public figures and the community.
