BT Sport to broadcast Champions League final in 360-degree VR

Users will be able to choose between a 360-degree produced programme with commentary and graphics, or select their own camera viewpoint

For the second season running, BT will make this season’s UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League finals available for free.

The finals will be available via YouTube and the BT website as well as the BT Sport channels and app.

The Champions League final will be available for in 4K UHD on YouTube and 4K UHD with Dolby Atmos sound on BT TV.

Fans can also watch the matches through a number of 360-degree streams on YouTube and the new BT Sport Virtual Reality App, allowing viewers to choose between a 360-degree produced programme with commentary and graphics, or to select their own camera viewpoint.

“These are two of the biggest club football tournaments in the world and showing them live on social media and on mobile devices makes it more readily available to a younger audience as well as available to traditional TV viewers.
