Freesat has found an increase in viewers of its shopping channels over Black Friday week (2017) compared with the same period in January and February.
On average viewing increased by 30 per cent, with TJC Choice reporting the highest rise of 76 per cent.
The Sunday preceding Black Friday was found to be the busiest day for shopping channels, while November saw an overall increase of 22 per cent.
Freesat says the research suggests that Black Friday and the peak season have a direct effect on shopping channel viewership.
