Intel offers football fans a True View of the match

Includes 360-degree footage taken from 38 5K cameras, capturing 200 terabytes of data per game

Intel has partnered with Liverpool FC, Manchester City and Arsenal to offer football fans a new view of the action as they’re watching on TV.

True View includes 360-degree footage taken from 38 5K cameras, capturing 200 terabytes of data per game.

From 10th March, supporters of the three teams can watch multi-angle views of plays and get a bird’s-eye view of players’ movements on the field.

The Intel True View highlights will be shown on TV through broadcast partners, while fans of the the three teams will be able to post videos from True View on social media a couple of hours after their games.

“Immersive media experiences continue to create more opportunities for sports teams and leagues to put the fan experience first,” said James Carwana, vice president and general manager of Intel Sports. “We have the chance to transform the experience for fans of one of the world’s top sports leagues with our leading and differentiated volumetric technology.”
