US/UK streaming site Flix Premiere has announced a $50 million (£38 million) production fund.
The platform, run by British entrepreneur Martin Warner, is seeking to produce between five and ten Premiere Originals over the next two years.
The move comes one year after the platform launched on desktop, mobile and OTT channels.
Backed by media and technology investors, the fund will allow the platform to buy films from the international festival circuit as well as acquire titles at script stage.
Warner expects to announce the first six titles by the end of the year.
