TNW2019 deploys LiveU streaming tech

Reporters with LiveU's Solo wireless video encoders will be roaming around the show

TNW2019 (The Next Web) will deploy LiveU’s streaming technology for its live studio show in the Netherlands on 9th-10th May.

The show will feature interviews with keynote speakers, live coverage of presentations and ad-hoc conversations with visitors, conducted by TNW’s roaming reporters using LiveU Solo wireless video encoders – including interviews held on a Ferris wheel.

The live production will be managed by Stream My Event at its studio control room using LiveU’s wireless at-home production solution. With Precision Timing, LiveU ensures precision measurement of end-to-end delay and automatic multi-camera sync.

TNW senior partnership manager Derk van Lomwel said: “TNW TV powered by LiveU will cover all the highlights and fun insights of the event for those who are not able to attend IRL.

“It’s the first time we’re building a full eight-hour live show and we couldn’t have done it without the technical expertise of our partners LiveU and Stream My Event. Hats off to them.”

LiveU marketing VP Ronen Artman added: “We’re excited to be partnering with TNW for the third year in a row, one of Europe’s most innovative and creative technology festivals.

“This year, we’re bringing the festival vibe even closer to the audience at home, interviewing the impressive line-up of speakers in the live studio and hearing first-hand from the festival visitors wherever they happen to be, even high up above the ground!”
