Tightrope Media Systems has updated its Zeplay replay system with technology that is claimed will be able to have replays ready to air in just seven frames. “Zeplay is currently the only instant replay platform that allows users to view and control all of their inputs and outputs simultaneously,” claimed Steve Israelsky, head of product management. “That’s four angles in and four replays out, without having to switch to the back-side. This, along with Zeplay’s robust feature-set, allows a single operator to produce twice the number of instant replays.” Zeplay 2.1 has added 16 audio channels (input/output) with scrubbing, in-game editing tools, and other ‘extras’ designed for the replay operator, such as an enhanced controller where ‘Shuttle Mode’ has been replaced with a ‘Fast Jog’ mode. The system has been used by sports teams and broadcasters, including Time Warner, Florida Gators, Colorado Buffaloes, Arizona Wildcats, Minnesota Gophers, Ottawa Senators and Tampa Bay Lightning.
