The Second Annual Amsterdam FCPUG SuperMeet will take place Sunday 13 September during IBC2009, at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam.
The event features a FCP Showcase with over 25 exhibitors and the World-Famous SuperMeet Raffle – apparently renowned for “awarding the most exciting prizes of any raffle in this industry” – as well as cocktails, free hors d’oeuvres and the chance to network with digital filmmakers from around the world within the Final Cut Pro User Group Network. All in all it’s the largest gathering of FCP users and experts on the planet.
“This will be the highlight of IBC as you spend the evening with talented professional filmmakers from every genre showcasing their films,” comments an enthusiastic press release about the event. “Set amongst a relaxed yet energised atmosphere with your professional colleagues from Europe and around the world, you will hear how they use the latest techniques and tools to produce everything from documentaries to award-winning films. Plus you will get a close-up look at the newest products from leading manufacturers, including a special hands-on user-driven overview and panel discussion of Apple’s new Final Cut Studio.”
