Presteigne has acquired Microwave Video Systems (MVS). MVS was established by Robin Tomlin and his son Colin, who played an integral role in the development of the company, and specialises in providing radio frequency (RF) and broadcast equipment hire services to the sports and live events market.

Colin Tomlin will run Presteigne’s new RF division as head of Presteigne MVS RF Division. He believes that the move is both natural and positive for both companies, describing the synergy between the two: “I’m very excited and enthusiastic about the challenges that lie ahead. Although MVS has been very successful in its own right, this is an opportunity to develop a brand new RF division within Presteigne. This is one of the times in the industry where two companies will really benefit by coming together to provide a more tailored solution for our clients.

Robin Tomlin will also join Presteigne, taking on a research and development role. MVS has worked with Presteigne on several large productions over the last couple of years including the West Asian Games, The Torino Winter Olympics and, most recently, The Ryder Cup.
