Presteigne Broadcast appoints George Dickson as new CEO

Dickson takes over from Adrian Young and brings with him over 20 years of international experience within the rental industry’s support services sector

As part of a planned transition, broadcast hire company Presteigne Broadcast has announced the appointment of George Dickson as the company’s new CEO.

Dickson takes over from Adrian Young and brings with him over 20 years of international experience within the rental industry’s support services sector with Aggreko, supporting major events.

Young helped lead Presteigne through a management buyout in 2016, and since then has been credited with successfully negotiating the company through Covid, without laying any staff off.

Presteigne’s chair, Martin Andersen paid tribute to Young’s contribution: “He has built a successful business track record in the sector and, importantly, over the past few years he has recruited an experienced, industry-respected senior management team who are specialists in their individual areas, and cemented several key international partnerships.”

Speaking about his appointment as CEO, Dickson said: “My thanks first of all must go to Adrian for handing over a business in such good shape. I’m looking forward to building on our current success and leading Presteigne into the next important growth stage; particularly a step change in brand marketing and a greater awareness of our specialist areas.

“Over and above dry hire, dedicated divisions for Projects and Managed Services, Audio and Comms and RF and Specialist Cameras are all now in place, highly regarded and headed by experts in their field. I am genuinely excited to be joining Presteigne and believe that I can bring a wealth of relevant experience and demonstrable success. I’m looking forward to working with the heads of the individual specialist divisions and existing and new international partners, to drive significant growth in 2023 and beyond.”
