TSL has announced an important contract with Peel Media Ltd, one of the UK's leading property and transport organisations, that will see TSL working as technical design consultants for Manchester's Mediacity:uk. Mediacity:uk, will be situated at Manchester's Salford Quays on a 200 acre site and will be the UK's first purpose-built media city.
It will provide an internationally significant hub for the media and creative industries, with the UK's leading broadcast, media and technology companies at its heart. A key part of the project is the move of five departments of the BBC to Mediacity:uk including BBC Children's, BBC Children's Learning, BBC Sport, BBC Radio Five Live, and parts of BBC Future Media and Technology. The project is scheduled for completion in 2011 and will be based on HD technology.
