Pawa to the people

A new version of EPG scheduling application Pawa was demonstrated at IBC to show content owners how they can adapt their EPG data requirements to meet the data workflow needs of any content distribution platform, in any country.

Pawa is the flagship application of EBS.TV, which connects TV content data and provides metadata and EPG services to platforms worldwide.

EBS has over 20 years’ experience working with key players in the industry such as BBC Worldwide, BT Sport, AMC Networks, Turner Broadcasting, MultiChoice and BSkyB.

Pawa ensures that media companies can control brand consistency across all channels, regardless of where content is accessed. This means that viewers can rely on the channel to deliver the quality of programmes that they expect.

It provides a number of key EPG data services, as a managed service handled in-house by EBS or as a ‘software-as-a-service’ option with full training and support. These include deep metadata; additional data sets; driving channels’ schedules directly from programme library; EPG scheduling and distribution; validation reports – displaying missing data or incorrect fields; TV metadata solutions; VOD-EPG integration; press schedules; and editorial and translation services.
