Mediapro named host broadcaster for Champions League

Intends to use 25 cameras in the quarter final matches and 28 in the semi-finals, rising to 31 cameras for the final on 23rd August

Mediapro has been named as the host broadcaster for the final stages of this year’s UEFA Champions League, which will be taking place in Portugal.

The company will produce all seven matches in both HD and UHD.

It intends to use 25 cameras in the quarter final matches and 28 in the semi-finals, rising to 31 cameras for the final on 23rd August.

“Four 4K Outside Broadcast Units and one HD/3G Unit, more than 200 professionals and up to 31 cameras, including two ultra-slow motion, three SteadyCam RF, two remote pole cams, one 4Sky System and one drone will be used in the production,” said Mediapro.

It will be the fourth time Mediapro has served as the host broadcaster for Champions League final. having previously worked on the 2010, 2014 and 2019 finals.
