Whisper has announced it has been selected as Roland-Garros Host Broadcaster by the FFT.
The French Tennis Federation (FFT), which has produced the tournament in-house since 2021, has chosen Whisper to deliver coverage of the next five editions of the Paris Grand Slam event, which is held over a three week period between May and June. Whisper has experience with top-level sports events such as Formula One, International Cricket, the Women’s EURO championships and the Paralympics.
Covering the entire tournament, the company will produce content for all of its broadcasters, in addition to seeking to develop the competition and sharing its wider secrets for audiences around the world, said the company.
Gilles Moretton, president of the FFT, commented, “We are delighted to have Whisper on board as the new Host Broadcaster of Roland-Garros. We will rely on Whisper’s expertise in audiovisual production to offer our television viewers the best experience possible, with content that is more attractive and innovative than ever.”
Bethan Evans, Whisper’s director of production, added, “We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to produce the host coverage of the prestigious Roland-Garros tournament. It’s humbling to think how many incredible players have graced its famous clay courts since the tournament began in 1928 and we look forward to playing a part in telling the next chapter. We’ll be working closely with the FFT to amplify the host broadcast as we deliver innovative court coverage, world feeds, behind the scenes coverage and ambitious, creative content. It’s a huge production contract and we feel privileged to be working with the FFT as the tournament’s evolution continues over the new few years.”
