Avid has announced that the latest version of the editing solution Media Composer Software, is now available.

Avid has announced that the latest version of the editing solution Media Composer Software, is now available. This release features faster and more efficient workflows, the company claims, continuing to deliver on the Avid Everywhere vision of connecting content creators with their audiences in more powerful, efficient and profitable ways.

Avid has introduced time-saving capabilities to Media Composer Software, designed to enable editors to speed up editing with new timeline enhancements, and toggle clips and tracks on and off in the timeline.

New features also allow editors to:

Integrate DPX files directly into workflows

  • Carry out multicam editing in 3D
  • Generate multiple audio mixdowns automatically
  • Create comprehensive reference files easily with Simplified AAF
  • Export MXF OP1a DNxHD and IMX through AMA
  • Work with the new ARRI Amira cameras

The latest enhancements to Media Composer Software are available to new and existing users who have purchased a subscription, new perpetual license, or standard support plan (upgrade), or renewed a support plan.
