ITV has selected MOOV to provide graphics, VR and telestration services for its horse racing coverage.

The UK broadcast graphics company will be involved in 41 days of racing broadcast for ITV, which started with the New Year’s Day meeting at Cheltenham. Coverage will include that of the Grand National, Epsom Derby and Royal Ascot.

“We’re incredibly proud to have won this prestigious contract with ITV,” said Nev Appleton, director, MOOV. “

The leading-edge graphics technology that is now available, combined with the artistic talents of our staff, enables us to present all the race information people need in innovative new ways.”

At each race meeting, MOOV provides a dedicated OB vehicle housing two dual-channel ChyronHego Mosaic turnkey graphics platforms. Its virtual placement feature utilises scene-tracking technology to overlay virtual furlong markers, finish lines and winning jockey silks on the grass, while paint is used to telestrate on the action, tagging horses to help identify each one, as well as providing highlights and tracking tools.
