FOR-A receives NATAS Emmy award

The FOR-A group has been honoured with a 2013 Technology and Engineering Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Art and Sciences (NATAS).

The FOR-A group has been honoured with a 2013 Technology and Engineering Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Art and Sciences (NATAS). The award, which recognises excellence and innovation in technology and engineering, was given to FOR-A YEM Eletex, a FOR-A group company, for the development, standardisation and productisation of the HD serial digital interface.

The HD serial digital interface technology is used across production, post production and broadcast facilities. It is the universal interface for professional video equipment, as it can carry HD data at cable lengths needed in facilities, and supports multiple formats using one signal interface.

NATAS is a professional service organisation dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic and technical advancements within the TV industry. FOR-A’s northeast account manager Jay Shinn (pictured), accepted the Emmy on behalf of FOR-A YEM Eletex at the awards ceremony during the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on 9 January.
