Sky Post Production’s Tatjana Radivoj named RTS Young Technologist of the Year

Radivoj has been involved with influencing workflow strategy with production clients, upgrading Sky Post Production’s audio suites, and designing audio post production workflows for high-profile and technically challenging projects

The Royal Television Society (RTS) has named audio mix technician Tatjana Radivoj as this year’s recipient of its annual RTS Young Technologist of the Year Award.

Having started her audio technician career during a university placement in 2020, she now works at Sky Post Production, and has been involved with influencing workflow strategy with production clients, upgrading Sky Post Production’s audio suites, and designing audio post production workflows for high-profile and technically challenging projects.

Radivoj has multiple credits to her name across news, documentaries, factual and entertainment, sport and comedy shows including Landscape Artist of the YearRosie Molloy Gives Up Everything and David James the One and Only. As winner of the RTS Young Technologist of the Year for 2023, she will receive an all-expenses paid trip to IBC 2023.

Chair of the RTS Young Technologist of the Year Award Jury, Terry Marsh, said: “Tatjana’s rapid rise at Sky since joining the company less than two years ago is hugely inspiring. She has demonstrated an excellent grasp of both the production requirements and the technology involved, whilst also devising improvements to the technology, all of which was very impressive to the Jury. We had a high volume of entries for 2023, which made for some difficult decisions to choose the finalists, all of whom are doing remarkable things in their careers so far.”

Radivoj added: “I am delighted to receive this award and would like to thank Terry Marsh and the jury for selecting me as Young Technologist of the Year. I would also like to thank my colleagues at Sky Post and my family for supporting me in my career, and for all the knowledge and skills they have helped me gain. It’s an exciting time in audio post production, and I look forward to furthering my career and contributing to the future of technology in television.”

The RTS Young Technologist of the Year Award runner-up and recipient of the Coffey Award for Excellence in Technology 2023 is Rebecca Scott, a vision mixer at Sky Production Services. Scott started her career at university, running the student TV station, before moving on to roles at Reuters MCR, RedBee and ITV. She was part of the team that kept Sky’s channels on air during the pandemic, by utilising cloud-based virtual galleries to create remote broadcasts from home.
