Decimator Design has released a new USB Control Panel software v2.0.3 for Mac and PC which adds a firmware update v1.1 for both the DMON-12S and DMON-6S.

Decimator Design has released a new USB Control Panel software v2.0.3 for Mac and PC which adds a firmware update v1.1 for both the DMON-12S and DMON-6S.

New features have been added to both the DMON-12S and DMON-6S Multi-Viewers including a 16 character UMD overlay per window with individual enables, custom positioning and size; a 16 channel audio metering overlay per window with individual enables, custom positioning and size; safe action and safe title overlay per window with individual enables and adjustment; centre cross overlay per window with individual enable; audio ID overlay; and dynamic UMDs via TSL protocol on RS422/485 pins on the DSUB-37 connector.

Tallies can now be applied to either tally boxes (default), outside safe action area or border; tally boxes allows for up to four tallies per quadrant (green, red, blue and yellow), and there is an ability to save and load custom layouts.

Mike Wattley, sales manager at Symbiosis, master distributor for EMEA and the Americas said, “The new, free of charge firmware update for the award-winning DMON-12S and 6S multi-viewers increases the professional usability of these already excellent products. The UMDs, audio meters and graticules are essential functions, and the custom positioning and size (for each window) goes one step further thanks to the attention to detail now synonymous with Decimator Design.”

The portable DMON-12S includes 12 independent 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs, supporting 26 formats and variable aspect ratios, with HDMI and SDI outputs. Each quadrant is independent of the others, allowing any 3G/HD/SD format of any frame rate to be displayed simultaneously, with customisable layouts.

The portable DMON-6S performs the same functions as the DMON-12S, but with six independent 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs and six active loop copies of each input.
