Brighton Film Studios to open in September

Work due to begin on new studios immediately

A new 11,000 sq ft studio complex is due to open in Brighton in September, built by the city’s Screen and Film School.

The studio, which will be used by students and the School’s industry partners, will include two film studio spaces, two floors of technical storage for camera and lighting equipment, and a Mac editing suite.

Brighton Film Studios will be situated within the Brighton Works complex, with work due to begin immediately.

College Principal Itziar Leighton said: “We have searched long and hard for the appropriate film studio space that is worthy of our students and their aspirations. I am delighted to say we have now achieved this and look forward to the many productions which will be shot there. Brighton Film Studios will become an asset to the city, and hopefully encourage even more creative media productions in Brighton.”
