Blackmagic Design’s URSA Broadcast captures Women’s Super League

Timeline TV employed the camera for remote production

Timeline TV has employed Blackmagic Design’s URSA Broadcast camera for remote production of the FA’s Women’s Super League.

The company used URSA Broadcast and Blackmagic 3G-SDI Shield for Arduino to provide high-quality broadcast both on and off the pitch. Timeline TV also required IP transmission back to its Ealing Studios HQ, enabled by Blackmagic’s open protocol.

Dan McDonnell, Timeline TV MD, said: “The ability to control an entire multicamera system via IP means that we can produce comprehensive coverage of high-profile events from anywhere in the world, without having to send a huge amount of staff or equipment out to the venues.

”Once the operators are on site, it’s simply a matter of switching on the receivers and the cameras, and we’re ready to go. That balance of speed, flexibility and quality has only been possible at this price point thanks to Blackmagic Design.”
