TVE Spain has purchased sixteen Ross Video Synergy 100 SD digital production switchers, which will be installed in facilities throughout Spain as part of several digital upgrades.
The switchers were sold via Moncada y Lorenzo, S.A., Ross dealer in Spain, which is understandably pleased by the deal “We are very satisfied with the response of the Spanish market to the great features offered by the Synergy 100,” said Manuel Canal, CEO, Moncada.
TVE invested in the Synergy switchers in order to digitise existing editing suites, small OB vans and control rooms in its production centres in Madrid and a few of their regional facilities. Installation is well underway and is expected to be complete by autumn 2006. The switchers destined to the editing suites in Madrid will be integrated into A/B Roll systems where TVE edits news magazines and other productions that are broadcast to the entire country. The OB vans are utilised to cover smaller events. TVE is the major national broadcaster in Spain. In addition to its large production centres, it also has 17 regional centres providing both national and regional productions.

The Synergy 100 is an extremely versatile switcher and well suited for their editing suites and OB vans.”
