Ross Video acquires LAMA

The acquisition underlines the company's commitment to provide end-to-end live production solutions

Ross Video has announced the acquisition of LAMA.

In a move aimed at significantly strengthening Ross Video’s audio solution set and core audio technology, the acquisition also brings in a highly experienced audio software solutions team from LAMA.

Jeff Moore, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Ross Video, said, “We are excited to welcome the LAMA team to Ross. Ross Video has built its legacy on giving our customers everything they need to connect with their audiences. This acquisition extends our audio capabilities, both on-premises and in the cloud.”

Designed to meet the needs of a wide range of users from live broadcasts and esports to streaming and more,
LAMA’s software streamlines live audio workflows and is built for speed, integration and flexibility. Its features bring a software-defined approach to connectivity, mixing and mix automation and were used to power Eurosport’s Olympic Games Paris 2024 and more.

“LAMA was built to challenge the traditional complexities of live audio,” said Ewan Cameron, co-founder and CCO of LAMA. “Joining Ross Video allows us to keep innovating while expanding access to our technology through a trusted global brand.”

The acquisition will provide Ross Video users with access to integrated audio mixing tools to complement existing video workflows, reinforcing the company’s commitment to providing end-to-end live production solutions.

Nigel Spratling, VP of production switchers at Ross, said, “We’re always listening to our customers, and they kept telling us how impressed they were with LAMA’s intuitive approach to audio mixing. When we took a closer look, it was clear LAMA had built something truly special: technology that’s modern, efficient, and aligned with the needs of today’s operators.”
