BBC S&PP relocates Digital Media Services business

BBC Studios and Post Production’s Digital Media Services business, which preserves, re-masters and manages content through its archiving, restoration and digital distribution services, will move to a new permanent facility at Odyssey Business Park, South Ruislip from early 2013.

BBC Studios and Post Production’s Digital Media Services business, which preserves, re-masters and manages content through its archiving, restoration and digital distribution services, will move to a new permanent facility at Odyssey Business Park, South Ruislip from early 2013. BBC S&PP Digital Media Services will continue to offer the same services from the new location. The internal accommodation fit-out will start within the next two weeks, with the technical installation scheduled from December through to February 2013. Migration of the business will take place between mid-February and the end of March 2013, at which point all current Television Centre activity will cease. Clive Hodge, head of Digital Media Services at BBC Studios and Post Production, said: “We’re delighted to be moving to a new permanent home. With the accommodation and technical infrastructure designed for optimum handling of current and legacy film and tape formats, and connectivity to link to customers, distributors and other BBC S&PP locations, this base will allow us to grow our range of media storage and content handling services.”www.bbcstudiosandpostproduction.com
