AI-powered media solutions company Digital Nirvana has formed a global alliance partnership with Avid.
The partnership will see advanced AI metadata capabilities integrated into the Avid media asset management and production asset management ecosystem.
The collaboration will see Digital Nirvana’s MetadataIQ, an AI-driven solution for generating time-coded metadata as markers, integrated with Avid’s MediaCentral l Production Management, which allows users to access the metadata through MediaCentral and Media Composer environments.

The solution will enable editors, producers, and archivists to generate audio- and video-based insights automatically that are time-coded and ingested directly into Avid’s production ecosystem as searchable markers that make it possible to locate relevant content instantly.
According to the companies, the integration will enable newsrooms to locate relevant clips and make rapid editorial decisions, while in reality TV and documentaries, editors will be able to search specific topics and find visual elements for their productions. For media companies managing large archives with relatively scarce metadata, the solution enhances content discoverability by generating video-based insights for stored assets, allowing archivists and editors to quickly retrieve and repurpose specific footage, they added.
“We’re committed to equipping our customers with cutting-edge tools that enhance efficiency and creativity in media production,” said Raymond Thompson, senior director, partners and alliances at Avid. “With Digital Nirvana’s AI-driven metadata automation and intelligent insights embedded into their production environments, Avid users can more quickly discover the footage they need to deliver stories that resonate with viewers.”
“The integration of MetadataIQ with Avid solutions unlocks new efficiencies and creative possibilities for media organisations,” added Russell Vijayan, director of business development at Digital Nirvana. “By automating metadata generation and embedding AI-driven insights directly within Avid environments, we’re empowering users to do work with live and archived content more effectively, whether to turn around stories more quickly, explore more storytelling options, or identify and extract further value from content archives.”
