Avid has extended its collaboration with ZDF.
The German public broadcaster is leveraging Avid’s MediaCentral | Cloud UX solution, migrating its existing asset management systems onto the software platform. The collaboration aims to future-proof ZDF’s infrastructure, providing it with a tool set to manage news and programme workflows and the possibility to expand from ingest through to publication.

Supporting ZDF’s configuration, with one core media asset system in its Mainz headquarters and two supporting systems located in Berlin and Dusseldorf, the multi-year agreement provides production teams with robust remote collaboration, enabling them to use Avid’s MediaCentral | Cloud UX’s feature set within a current on-premise model, said the company.
Antje Lang, ZDF project manager said, “Our editorial teams have enthusiastically embraced the new possibilities with Avid MediaCentral | Cloud UX in their daily work. This new agreement with our long-term trusted partner Avid future-proofs our production tech, allowing us to accelerate our news and program production workflows.”
