Cloud storage company Wasabi has formed a strategic partnership with AI-powered MAM/DAM provider ScorePlay to help sports organisations manage, collaborate on and distribute their content.
The partnership integrates Wasabi AiR, an intelligent media storage platform which delivers AI metadata auto-tagging and multilingual search and transcription capabilities, into the ScorePlay platform.

According to the two companies, this will enable sports organisations such as Premier League Football, Major League Baseball, National Hockey League teams to empower sports rights holders to take back control of their media assets and transform the way they produce and deliver content to fans and viewers.
“This marks a great step forward in our mission to empower sports organisations with the same tools and efficiencies as major media companies,” said Victorien Tixier, co-founder and CEO of ScorePlay. “By combining Wasabi’s scalability with ScorePlay’s powerful infrastructure and intelligent media workflows, we’re giving rights holders true ownership over their content and the ability to activate it instantly across every channel.”
“The future of sports media is open, intelligent, and instant. We’re empowering every organisation to harness AI and cloud technology to manage their content with our bespoke industry offering. By removing the traditional barriers of cost and technical complexity, Wasabi and ScorePlay are giving the industry a new playbook for storytelling and fan engagement,” said Michael Welts, chief marketing officer at Wasabi Technologies.
